Home for the Holidays
The Railroad Museum of Pensylvania's "Home for the Holidays" program was the perfect setting  to set up one of our portable tracks and new Victorian Depot in rolling stock hall of the museum to help celebrate the 2005 holiday season. Iron Acres members, along with help from museum staff set up the display and Conestoga Junior Girl Scout Troop 226, lead by Laurie Mackison and Missy Campbell provided the the effort needed to add all the wonderfull decorations. Visitors were treated to a ride around some of the museums collection departing from our snow covered depot and centered around our railroad themed holiday tree. We even got paid a visit from a Country & Western TV show for their holiday program. Emmet the Elf and Ole St. Nick himself even enjoyed a few laps around. The train was staffed and operated by IARR memebrs Phil, Jay, Joe ,Sue and Mike with added help from Ryan Musser and Kade Mackison. My thanks go out to all who helped make this a great outing .  If you missed us this year see the event schedule to find out when we will be returning to the museum.
